Thursday, June 15th, 2017 – After rolling out the red carpet for James Comey, the Congressional Whore House wasn’t exactly as welcoming to Jeff Sessions. We analyze Session’s Senate Intelligence hearing and compare it with last week’s James Comey love fest. Plus, we talk stereotyping and how hate is used to short circuit the public’s critical thinking abilities.

Yes, Mass Shootings Are Occurring More Often

Why Have There Been More Mass Shootings Under Obama than the Four Previous Presidents Combined?

The mass shooter phenomenon reminds me of the serial killer phenomenon I”m reading about right now in the great Dave McGowan’s book:

Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder by David McGowan

Perhaps there’s an element of haystacking in both phenomena. In any case, McGowan is an awesome researcher and his books are weirdly fascinating and replete with well-documented facts and connections. One thing he leaves out though, are his overarching conclusions, which are great. The book never sews together all his reports into one coherent theory, which leaves the books unassailable but also a smidge unsatisfying. To cure that, listen to the interview he did with Tim Kelly on Our Interesting Times here, not long before his untimely death. For more from McGowan, check this out:
